The creative approach was designed so that beauty consumers could use their finger to drag the lipstick on screen, as if they had the product on their hand, in order to see the brilliance of the colour. When users picked up the lipstick and srubbed the screen, a trace of red colour appeared accurately. This was followed by the main brand message and a voucher to redeem the lipstick in-store. The strong engagement rate of 17% showed that the ad reached an audience who was genuinely interested in skincare and helped MAC drive brand impact.
Adludio and MAC collaborated in order to drive awareness of their flagship product and emphasise the powerful colour of their lipstick.
